Digital Island makes the Reseller News Innovation Awards 2021 finals!
The Reseller News Innovations Awards are a big deal. They’re (in their words) ‘the market-leading awards program for celebrating ecosystem innovation and excellence across the technology sector in New Zealand’.
The Innovation Awards recognise the standout work of managed service providers, system integrators and value-added resellers, bleeding-edge start-ups, cloud specialists, independent software vendors, consultancy giants, boutique agencies and application developers.
So, of course, we just had to enter.
We submitted entries into the Digital Transformation, Cloud, and Management Excellence categories – and we are proud finalists in all three! (You can see the complete list of finalists here.)
We had some inspiring digital transformation and cloud client stories to share. From transforming Wellington Combined Taxi’s contact centre capabilities through introducing a Digital Island custom-designed Telepo solution, to replacing Hutt City Council’s on-premises legacy contact centre solution with Amazon Connect and a unique intuitive front-end backed by our fully-managed 24/7 service offering. As a result, both organisations made significant business and customer experience gains when they needed them most.
As for Management Excellence? We nominated our very own Leon Sheehan – CEO. Since joining Digital Island as CEO in 2017 (when Spark acquired Digital Island), Leon’s focus on our clients has driven him to ensure Digital Island provides the right mix of solutions that accelerate our client’s digital transformation through cutting edge innovation. Leon’s leadership is also directed inwards – to promote and sustain a strong staff culture. It is this holistic leadership approach, which has driven exceptional growth in the business. In size, profitability, and market share. This story is one we’ve been proud to put forward for these awards.
New Zealand technology businesses consistently punch above their weight when it comes to innovation, so there’s some stiff competition. But we’re proud to be finalists, and are crossing fingers that lockdown levels will allow us to dust off our black ties and evening gowns and gather in person for the Innovation Awards night on 19 November.
We’ve done the hard work. We’ve invested in world-class contact centre solutions, services, and strategies, and above all, we’ve helped transform the future for our customers – and their customers. We believe we’ve ticked all the innovation boxes. So, now, it’s in the hands of the judges.
