As of 23 September, Spark New Zealand owned Cloud Telco business, Digital Island, has acquired the telecommunications unit of Outsource Communications Ltd (OCL), which has been providing PABX and Telco services to business clients since 2003.

Digital Island has developed a strong reputation for delivering whole of business Telco solutions to Kiwi businesses valuing customer experience and quality. The specialist Cloud PBX and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider is looking to build on its prominent position in the market and accelerate growth.

Digital Island’s General Manager, Leon Sheehan, is confident this acquisition will enhance their position as the leading partner of choice for Cloud PBX solutions across NZ. “Our clients are at the forefront of everything we do and we are excited about the opportunity to demonstrate our agility and experience to our new customers.”

The remainder of OCL will continue to specialise in data cabling, fibre optic installation, civil and CCTV solutions.”
